I was born, raised and educated in West Michigan (I’m an expert at driving in the snow, prefer swimming in fresh water over salt, and use a tent for camping).

In 2007, my career took me out to the East Coast. I accepted a full-time position in Eastern Pennsylvania with an affiliate of the newspaper I was interning for in Michigan. Since then, I’ve used my skills to become a successful communications and digital marketing professional.

I currently live in the Windy City of Chicago. My wife and I took advantage of an opportunity to move closer to family in the Midwest.

I spend my personal time sailing competitively, volunteering as a sailing instructor, exploring Chicago, and consuming lots of news. I enjoy hiking, camping, photography (you’ll usually find me with some kind of camera) and generally trying new things. I walk my dog a few miles almost every day.

When I’m not doing any of that you’ll find me out with my wife, Michelle.

Professionally, I am driven and I work hard. One fun fact from my career: Warren Buffett once took my call and we talked for about 15 minutes.
